About the building
The vision for Parramatta Square – one of Australia’s largest commercial business precincts – was to create a city within a city, a place with vibrant, energised pedestrian spaces. This vision has been realised through landmark architecture, considered placemaking and state-of-the-art facilities.
At 243 metres high, 6&8 Parramatta Square is the tallest addition to the Parramatta skyline and an architectural centrepiece of Parramatta Square. JPW designed the 55-storey tower, which won Best Tall Building in Oceania in 2024 and is Australia’s largest WELL Certified building, meeting voluntary standards to support human health and wellbeing. The glazed facade reduces heat gain while maximising daylight, and large floorplates, generous ceiling heights and extensive natural light prioritise workplace comfort.
The main lobby and principal arrival space is three storeys high, forming a dramatic civic entrance. Carr designed the connected foyer spaces, which feature soft textures, bronze and stone detailing, and 8.3-metre-long custom pendants in the soaring space.
Also on display are pieces from Parramatta Square’s art collection of contemporary works symbolising resilience, history and the exciting evolution of a world-class CBD. Guided by the curatorial theme ‘Dare to Dream’, each piece was personally commissioned by Walker Corporation’s late founder Lang Walker, who believed art was essential for connecting with place. The collection celebrates Australian and Indigenous artistic excellence while honouring Parramatta’s role as a historical and economic centre.
With the evolution of Parramatta, many industry leaders have moved their Sydney offices to Parramatta Square, including LG Australia, whose business-to-business showroom is on level 44. The immersive technology environment showcases LG’s cutting-edge business solutions and features flexible demonstration zones, integrated digital displays and panoramic views across Sydney.
Deloitte Australia has also opened a Parramatta office in the Square, adding a Western Sydney outpost to their Asia Pacific network. Spanning more than 3,500 square metres and purposefully designed to bring people together, the workplace combines leading technology, flexible collaboration spaces and contemporary design to support how Deloitte works with clients, communities and each other.
More than just an office, the space serves as a platform for connection—bringing together business leaders, government, community organisations and future generations to help shape the region's future. The office has also achieved world-class sustainability credentials, including a 6-Star Green Star rating, NABERS certification and a Gold WELL rating.
